HOME PAGE Tavira County Lawn Bowling Club is an eight rink level green bowling club nestling on the slopes of the mountain of Leiria and lying between the mountains of the Algarve and the Atlantic Ocean. Sunday 14.00 hours until dusk.   Organised Games Are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at either 13.30 hours or 14.00 hours during the winter and 10.00 hours during the heat of the summer but please check as these times vary according  to other seasonal factors.   Scale of Charges (Until 31 August 2004) Single game - 10 euros    Hire of bowls - 2 euros per game   The English translation  of "Cerro do Leiria" is the  "Mountain of the Cave". Amusingly, we have searched all over the mountain and have  yet to find a cave.  But the guide books maintain that there is one.
